Instructions:
Begin by preparing 4 large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Mix
until everything is well-integrated.
Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized patties. Place each patty in the middle of its foil sheet.
In a separate bowl, toss the potatoes, carrots, and onions with olive oil and Italian seasoning,
ensuring they’re all well-coated.
Distribute the vegetable mix equally among the four foil packets, placing them around the beef
patties.
To close the packets, bring the foil’s sides up, rolling the edges together. Flatten the ends and fold
them inwards.
Place the foil packets either on a grill preheated to medium heat or beside campfire coals.
Cook for about 45 minutes. Check the potatoes for doneness. If they’re not soft, reseal the packets
and cook for an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
To finish, open each packet and sprinkle ¼ cup of Colby Jack cheese over each beef patty.
Enjoy the melding flavors of the beef and veggies, complemented by the gooey cheese!
