Donut Doughnuts: How to make them irresistible !

This simple homemade donut batter is made with flour, milk, egg yolks, yeast and sugar, then the donuts are fried and dipped in sugar.
This recipe is easy to make and makes a super fun little treat! Do it once and you’ll never use a different cookie recipe. It is so good!
These homemade muffins are a classic recipe I’ve been making since I was little. It always makes me very nostalgic when I do that.
When I saw my daughter waiting for me to fry the donuts, I remembered sitting at the counter in my grandmother’s kitchen, resting my head on the palms of my hands, looking at her in all her movements while homemade donuts bubbled in hot oil.

Grandma made a lot of them, making sure everyone in her big family had as many cakes as they wanted.

How To Make 5 Minute Caramel Walnuts

Easy Candied Walnuts that takes 5 minutes and has 5 ingredients. They’re chewy, crunchy, salty, not too sweet and taste heavenly!!!

5 minute caramel walnuts are chewy, crisp, salty and not-too-sweet !!!  Highly addictive candied walnuts are perfect for snacking, holiday gift giving or even topped on salads.

I love this easy method of making the candied nuts where everything goes into the pan at once. Other methods I’ve tried left me with globs of candy on the nuts rather than a more even coating.

It also roasts the nuts at the same time so you don’t have to pre-toast them, then add them back to the pan to be coated, blah, blah. Who needs extra steps?

It seriously takes about 5 minutes on the stove and 5 minutes to cool. The finished product is delicious! My husband was sampling them right out of the pan. P.S. This recipe can easily be doubled.

Ingredients:

1 cup walnuts

¼ cup + 1 tablespoon  brown sugar, both wrapped (do not use dark brown)

¼ cup water

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

⅛ teaspoon + 2 pinches salt

How To Make Old Fashioned Salmon Patties

This recipe has been in my family for many years. I changed the bland original and tweaked it a bit. Added the grated onion, lemon juice, and dill seed. Then fry in butter. My friends say it is a “Recipe to Die For!” in a manor of speaking only. The picture of my mom (June E.) and dad (Andy E.) in Chicago 1944 is because he loved salmon, as I do. We could and would eat it cold right from the can! Must be our Finnish heritage.

Southern salmon patties are an inexpensive meal and an easy recipe to make—do you think the recipe costs less than five dollars? Plus, it’s quick to get to the table.

This deep salmon pie recipe is made with breadcrumbs and french fries quickly.
So, if you are looking for a quick and easy meal, this is it.
My mom loved the salmon pancakes (also known as the salmon cake recipe) and in fact, I remember she cooked them quite a bit when she was a kid. She whipped them sporadically split and had them on the table ready to go in no time.
My husband ordered Southern salmon patties last night and I got a box of pink salmon from Aldi’s grocery store and went to work.

You can find canned salmon in almost any grocery store and it was very cheap at Aldi’s.
Except for canned salmon, I had all the ingredients here at home, which helped make it a very inexpensive main dish.
Moreover, I did not want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so I made this recipe as easy as possible.

How To Make The Best Fried Fish ?

Don’t let the simplicity of this delicious recipe for fried fish fool you: The fillet is fried perfectly on the inside, with a beautiful golden crust. Haddock and cod are excellent choices for our fried fish recipe, but tilapia, pollock, catfish, bass, trout or perch will also make a lovely meal. Ready in 30 minutes, this is the perfect meal for a busy night of the week or as a weekend brunch along with a salad and some sauces, like classic tartar, remolled Louisiana, or chipotle mayonnaise.

The trick to perfecting the fried fish is in the oil, the temperature used to cook it, and the paint used on the fish. Use an oil with a high smoke point, such as canola, corn, safflower, peanut, avocado, or grape seed oil – avoid olive oil or butter, as they will burn at the temperatures required for frying. Don’t skip the flour coating, as it provides a delicious crunchy texture, keeps the fish from absorbing too much oil, and also keeps the fish fillets in one piece. For best results, use a heavy-bottomed skillet to distribute the heat evenly.

Since fish is a smoother protein, if your slices are particularly thin, watch the skillet closely when frying it. For batch frying, add more oil as needed and raise the temperature before adding more fillets. Before starting, gently dry the fish fillets with a paper towel.

 Ingredients :

 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon paprika

Salt, to taste

Pepper to taste

1 pound of fillet fish (such as haddock, tilapia, or cod)

2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or remolide, optional
