DID YOU KNOW ? Most people put the orchid in the wrong place, which is why it doesn’t bloom.

Some tips for properly caring for your orchids

To allow orchids to develop well, you will need to ensure that they are placed in the best possible conditions. Here are the right actions to take.

Exposure   : When orchids are exposed to direct sunlight, their leaves will eventually burn. When growing them indoors, be sure to filter sunlight with light curtains to protect them. Also remember to keep them away from any heat source, especially radiators, otherwise they may die  .

Watering   : during winter it is necessary to space out watering. In fact, orchid water needs vary during this time of year. Therefore, do not hesitate to   water your plant   twice a month, with recycled rainwater, which does not contain limestone and is, at the same time, at room temperature  . Too hot or too cold water can cause water shock, which can create stress for the plant. Additionally, you can also spray the orchid from time to time.

Application of fertilizers and replanting   : the latter is recommended in spring, as it is at this time of year that orchids bloom. Therefore, they no longer have new buttons. However,   you should only replant an orchid if many roots overflow the pot or if the substrate is thin  . Also be sure to get rid of faded flowers to encourage new buds to form.

During the fall, the new stems will need a daily application of spray fertilizer to the leaves and roots. In winter, apply fertilizer once a month to the orchids and wipe the leaves with a damp sponge to free them from dust  .

By following these maintenance tips you will allow your orchids to develop in the best conditions and bloom correctly.
