Ingredients:
- 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 box vanilla pudding instant mix
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup white wine (any kind will do)
Instructions:
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla pudding mix, cinnamon, eggs, water, oil, and white wine. Mix well, either by hand or using a hand mixer.
- Thoroughly grease a bundt pan to ensure easy cake release later on.
- Pour the prepared batter into the greased bundt pan.
- Place in the oven and bake for approximately one hour.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the sauce: In a saucepan, melt a stick of butter, then add 1 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of wine. Stir until well combined.
- Once the cake is out of the oven, immediately pour the prepared sauce over the hot cake, allowing it to soak in.
- Let the cake cool for a while. Once cooled, carefully flip it out of the pan onto a serving plate.
- Serve and enjoy your delightful Crack Cake!
