How To Make Texas Roadhouse’s Rolls

How to prepare Texas Roadhouse Rolls:

  1. Place the yeast and warm water in a bowl or container, stir once and let it rest.
  2. Place milk and buttermilk in a microwave-safe container and heat until hot. It’s okay if the buttermilk separates at this point, it won’t affect the recipe.
  3. Mix 2 tbsp. Add the softened butter to the milk and buttermilk mixture until melted.
  4. In a bowl, combine the milk mixture, yeast, granulated sugar, salt and 1 cup flour. Beat with dough hook on high speed until well mixed and smooth.
  5. Add the egg to the bowl and mix until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the remaining flour until the dough comes away from the mixing hook.
  7. Lightly flour the dough and form a ball in a large, well-greased bowl.
  8. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  9. Place the dough on a floured surface and roll out ½ centimeter thick.
  10. Cut the dough into 12 equal rectangular shapes.
  11. Fold the ends of each rectangle into a roll and let rise slightly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper or a silicone mat for 20 minutes.
  12. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  13. Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes until the top is lightly browned.
  14. If necessary, brush the surface with melted butter.
  15. Place the honey cinnamon butter ingredients in a bowl and stir until well combined.
    Serve the sandwiches hot with butter.
