- 2-liter plastic bottle, clean and empty
- Pair of scissors
- Rope, string, or wire for a clothesline
- Washers (two per bottle if wire or rope is used)
- Dirt
- Plant seedlings (be they herbs or veggies)
Guide for Instructions
- To punch holes in the bottle, make two holes at the top and two at the bottom.
- For draining, make a small hole at the bottom. Plants need good drainage to stay healthy.
- Rope Insertion: Put the rope or wire you want to use through one hole and make sure it comes out of the other hole.
- Stability of the Bottle: To keep the bottle from slipping on the rope, tie a strong knot or loop the knot around a washer.
- Setting up: Stretch the rope out and tie it upright to a wall. You now have a rooftop garden in the city!
