- Immediately remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter. Immediately pour this mixture over the cereal and fold it in. Then, pour the mixture into the 9×13 pan.
- In a microwaveable 4-cup measuring cup, combine the butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, and vanilla. Microwave for 30 seconds at a time. Stir well after each interval until it is completely melted and smooth. This should take about 1 minute and 30 seconds.
- Pour the melted mixture over the bars. Allow it to cool completely at room temperature before cutting.
