How To Remove Grease From Kitchen Cabinets

Are you dealing with stubborn grease stains on your kitchen cabinets? You’re not alone! During a recent deep cleaning of my kitchen, I discovered small grease spots on the cabinets above my stove, possibly a fallout from a not-so-successful donut experiment. While the cupcakes turned out delicious, the kitchen aftermath was quite messy. Traditional soap and water proved ineffective against the stubborn grease.

How to Remove Grease from Kitchen Cabinets?

In my quest for a solution, I explored various methods on Pinterest. However, I hesitated to use abrasive techniques that might damage the cabinet finish. Drawing on my positive experiences with baking soda as a mild cleaner, I decided to create a paste for grease removal and restore my cabinets to their former glory.

Before diving in, it’s crucial to test the paste in a small, inconspicuous area of your cabinet, especially if your cabinets have a shiny finish or are older. My cabinets, with a light color and matte finish, haven’t shown any adverse effects.

Ingredients for Grease-Removing Paste:

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/2 tablespoon dish soap
  • 1/2 tablespoon water

Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Kielbasa Bites Recipe

This is a very simple recipe, I even hesitate to call it a recipe. See, it’s just three ingredients (four if you want to get a little extra savory) that are heated together into one awesome formula. So instead, think of it as a suggestion for what to serve at your next party… one that you should take.
There’s not much more to do here than chop up some kielbasa, but the end result is so delicious that you were willing to go the extra mile to achieve that flavour. Those little bites of kielbasa are cooked in a sweet, sticky sauce that’s the perfect contrast to its smokiness. It’s the perfect snack or app, and it couldn’t be easier.
Strips of kielbasa go into the slow cooker (we have directions on the stovetop down if you prefer to go that route!) along with some brown sugar and cola until each piece is coated in caramelized sweetness. You can add a little chili powder for a stronger kick, but its main function is really to back up the smokiness of kielbasa.
This takes three hours in the slow cooker, which gives you plenty of time to arrange the rest of your affairs if you’re serving it for company. All you have to do is stop and stir now and then. They can hang out in the slow cooker for serving, too; Keeps it warm and from getting too sticky as it cools.
You can think of these like a Winnie the Pooh cocktail. They have the same irresistibly sweet and smoky thing going for them, but they’re way more elegant and unexpected. If it were easier to make, they would keep making themselves… The only problem you’re likely to have is tearing your guests away from the bowl.

How to Make No Fuss Pie Crust ?

Craving pie without the pie-making ordeal? We’ve all had those moments where the sheer thought of crafting a pie crust—cutting in the cold, cubed butter, gently adding spoonfuls of ice water, and wrestling with flour-covered counters as you roll out the dough—feels more like a chore than a therapeutic baking session. While on some days the process seems meditative, on others, it’s undeniably a hassle.
Enter the no-fuss pie crust—your savior on those hassle-kind-of-days! This gem requires no rolling and no cutting in, yet it miraculously bakes to perfection. That’s correct! No rolling!
Simply combine your ingredients: flour, oil, cold water (ice-free!), baking powder, and salt in a bowl, and then firmly press the dough into your pie dish. You can easily mold it with your hands or a flat-bottomed glass in just a matter of moments.
Here’s the sweet (or savory) secret: it offers all the convenience of a store-bought crust while allowing you full control over the ingredients. Choose any oil that tickles your fancy—peanut, olive, avocado, canola, or even melted butter—they all do the trick. The result? A tender, unexpectedly flaky crust.

This recipe yields enough for a 9-inch single crust pie. Should you need to blind bake it, remember to pierce it first with a fork to prevent excessive puffing. If your heart (or recipe) desires a top-crust, simply double this recipe and casually scatter little dough pieces across the pie’s top, forming a streusel-esque topping.
