My mom brought this recipe with her while they were visiting for Thanksgiving and we made it on their last morning here. Everyone loved it! Potatoes, eggs, cheese, ham and onions make a great meal and I’ll make them again on Christmas Day.

I like not spending extra time in the kitchen on Christmas morning so I can outlay every min with my family & enjoy watching my kids open their present and see what Santa Claus getting them !

Ingredients :

3 cups frozen hash browns

3⁄4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 cup diced cooked pork

1⁄4 cup finely chopped green onion

4 eggs, beaten well

1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk

Every year we look forward to going to my grandmother’s house for Thanksgiving. She was best cook I know. She raised 8 children and had a home cooked meal on the table every night. She spent all her time in the kitchen. She made all of her bread by hand and was great at making anything from scratch.

I remember staying with them for a few weeks in the summer and she always made a bagel or a batch of peanut butter cookies. As soon as the hot bread came out of the oven, I cut it into slices and we ate a whole loaf. She was an incredible baker.

How To Make Chili Cheese Dog Bake

Ingredients:

4 hot dogs

4 cheddar cheese chains

1 pilesbury pizza paste paste

Pepper box 1 (15 ounces)

1/4 cup molten butter

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of fresh parsley

Directions:

Heat oven 375 and

Pour the Chile in a 6 x 10 or 7 x 11. up. Take the cheese out of the boxes and cut them in half. Sitting aside.

Open and publish pizza dough box. Cut the dough with 4 equal parts. Take a hot dog and a sandwich with two sides of the cheddar. By one side of the dough range, start wrapping the package in the dough, and covering the full hot dog length with the dough. Put in the pan with pepper, and sew down.

Mix the garlic and parsley with melted butter and brush the hot dog surface with garlic butter. Enjoy!

Note * to avoid the bottom of the dough ~ Place the dogs first, then pour the Chilean around them.

Italian Chicken Pasta In A Creamy White Wine And Parmesan Sauce

Ingredients:

For cooking the chicken:

1 teaspoon of salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

Pasta:

12 ounces of spaghetti

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved horizontally and pat dry with paper towel)

1/2 cup flour

Parmesan sauce with white wine:

4 tablespoons of butter

1 small yellow onion (or use 1/2 onion) chopped

4 minced garlic cloves

2 chopped green onions

2 small diced tomatoes

1 tablespoon of flour

1 cup heavy cream 1 cup white wine

½ cup grated parmesan

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt more to taste

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

3 egg yolk

3/4 c white sugar

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

pinch of salt

3 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons lemon zest, lightly packed

1/2 cup of water

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

CUPCAKES:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup of sugar

2 eggs

3 tablespoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon of salt

1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour

MERINGUE:

3 reserved egg whites

pinch of salt

1/4 cup sugar

1) LEMON FILLING: In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk egg yolks, sugar, flour and salt; whisk together lemon juice, lemon zest, water and melted butter; increase heat to medium and, whisking constantly, cook until lemon filling is smooth and thickened, about 7 minutes; Remove from heat and set aside

2) Preheat oven 375 degrees

3) CUPCAKES: In medium bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat eggs, lemon juice, baking powder and salt; stir in flour until just blended

This recipe has been in my family for many years. I changed the bland original and tweaked it a bit. Added the grated onion, lemon juice, and dill seed. Then fry in butter. My friends say it is a “Recipe to Die For!” in a manor of speaking only. The picture of my mom (June E.) and dad (Andy E.) in Chicago 1944 is because he loved salmon, as I do. We could and would eat it cold right from the can! Must be our Finnish heritage.

My mom loved the salmon pancakes (also known as the salmon cake recipe) and in fact, I remember she cooked them quite a bit when she was a kid. She whipped them sporadically split and had them on the table ready to go in no time.

My husband ordered Southern salmon patties last night and I got a box of pink salmon from Aldi’s grocery store and went to work.
