The Process:
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2:
Mix the sweet potatoes, a half cup of sugar, eggs, butter, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt with an electric mixer. Leave it to mix until it is blended, smooth, and without lumps.
Step 3:
Pour the blended mixture into the pie shell and sprinkle with the remaining one quarter of the sugar on top. Leave the pie to rest for 15 minutes before baking to allow the sprinkled sugar to melt well.
Step 4:
Place in the oven and bake until it is done. You can check with a toothpick in the center, if it comes out clean, then it’s ready!
