These boneless pork chops make a great weeknight dinner that your entire family will love. These pork chops are both sweet and savory. It reminds us of Teriyaki sauce, but it is not as sweet. The edges of the pork chops are caramelized by broiling them under the broiler.
Cook time: 40 Min
Prep time: 10 Min
Serves: 4 – 6
Ingredients
1 1/2 lb boneless pork chops (6 4 oz portions) – I used thick center cut chops
1 c ketchup
1/3 c honey
1/4 c soy sauce
3 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper
Directions
Tips: We turned our pork chops every 5 minutes, and in our oven, they were done in about 20-25 minutes.
1. In a medium bowl, stir together ketchup, honey, soy sauce, and garlic.
2. I sprayed my broiler pan with cooking spray. Place the chops on the broiler tray. Lightly season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
3. Brush each chop with the sauce to coat.
4. I then placed oven rack two notches down from the top. Place chops in the oven. Broil about 5 minutes, baste. Broil another 5 minutes; turn chop, baste. Keep turning and basting until chops are cooked. Mine took about 20 minutes on each side. Mine were thick, may not take as long for a thinner chop. Remember to liberally baste often. These are delicious chops. I hope you try them. The sauce would be great on chicken also.
