Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbly. Drain any excess grease and season the meat with salt and pepper.
3. Arrange a layer of thinly sliced potatoes at the bottom of the greased baking dish. Put the cooked ground beef evenly on top of the potatoes.
4. In a medium bowl, mix the condensed cream of mushroom soup with milk until well combined. Pour this mixture over the beef layer.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
6. Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Return it to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
